Verna Dalton and HEather Dowd
Since establishing Dalton Interior in 1981, Verna Dalton has had the privilege of working with many discerning clients throughout New England. While focusing largely on residential projects, the firm has also designed for businesses including banks, restaurants, churches and health care facilities. The company has participated in numerous designer show houses and, as a member of ASID, Verna has lectured at numerous community venues on interior design.
In 2000 Heather Dowd joined Verna as a design associate. Together they bring over 60 years of combined design training and experience to the jobs they undertake. They bring to the table access to their team of vetted crafts and tradespeople in the undertaking of each project.
Their philosophy is that a well thought out design will lead to a pleasing, unified and lasting end result.
They offer value- added expertise to each design decision and strive to make the design process an enjoyable and low stress one for their clients.
Dalton Interiors is a full service independent design firm. This means that the firm offers a wide range of services ranging from blue print review, creation of lighting and finish schedules and floor plans to actual implementation and procurement of home furnishings from flooring, furniture, lighting, window treatments to accessories. Project oversight is also part of their service offering.
Because Dalton Interiors is an independent design firm it is not subject to sales quotas, corporate pricing or in house promotions nor is it limited to using a select few vendors. Verna and Heather make selections from a wide range of ever-expanding sources based on each individual job and client’s taste, style and budget. This makes each job unique and individual.
